126 – Keep your eyes on the prize

It’s that time of year – the working class are in the process of heading back to the grindstone. Huzzah! Well, at least you’ve got an honest job, and you do an honest day’s work and you get an honest day’s pay – i.e. the minimum amount your employer can get away with. An age old state of affairs.

So, how to get through? I think the way to finesse the situation is to be on a mission. Pick out something that’s a big enough goal for you and use that to motivate you to get through. If you are one of the rare individuals who just loves their job, then do it for the love of your job. For the rest of us, go for a goal that gets you out of bed and off to work. It’s ok, you’ll get through. And one day, if everything works out you’ll be able to reach out and snatch that prize – you’ll achieve your goal and the due reward. It will have been worth it.

Manifesto
16. Every day looking at the order of things gives you power.
23. Every day retain your personal power. It belongs to you. No one else.
28. Every day you will be tested.
