There will be calmness, tranquility, when one is free from external objects and is not perturbed. — Bruce Lee
Another crisis averted. After the beautifully constructed plaster cast was removed we had a few moments of quiet to reflect on how the whole event had happened. My father-in-law had slipped and fallen in the shower, and rather than leave it to chance, or to hope for the best, the medical advice was to plaster up his arm. A few days later, a few seconds with the cutter, a stretch or two with the spreaders and Mate’s arm was free again. We positively skipped out the door on our way back to the car.
It’s like learning something new – I kind of hate it – festering away trying to work it out – and then there’s a crack along the seam and suddenly light and air bursts in and you wonder why it was all so hard before.
Manifesto
02. Every day is an opportunity for a new beginning.
28. Every day you will be tested.
40. Every day give things a chance to work out.
