So what exactly does a white gowned character on stilts have to do with today’s parade at lunchtime? I’m not 100% sure, but everyone seemed to like the idea – and they fitted into the parade for the All Whites – NZ’s unbeaten and yet ultimately unsuccessful football team fresh back from South Africa and the World Cup.
I think that’s how we like it. We didn’t win, but we weren’t beaten either. Not a bad outcome in any activity. Good work to everyone involved – a huge effort and well worth celebrating.
