The black sheep of the family

Who, at some point, hasn’t thought that they might be the black sheep of the family? You know, that one person in the family that always seems to be doing the wrong thing at the wrong time in the wrong place. The one who stands out for all the wrong reasons.

I guess if you are an only child or maybe if you were adopted you might be sure you aren’t the black sheep. Or maybe you automatically ARE the black sheep, due to the lack of competition.

I sometimes thought I was the black sheep of the family. There were a couple of others who claimed they were the black sheep too, and we’ve grouped up so we’re kind of the black herd of the family. I think we’re pretty good with that actually. Quite happy to be the black sheep.

Proud to be the black sheep.

Sure, we’ve done things different to the rest of the family, but when the chips were down we were the ones who were in the thick of it, supporting those who needed support (including each other), making strong, good decisions; and getting the job done. Wouldn’t want to be one of the other sheep.

I feel confident that the shepherd and the shepherdess would be proud of the black herd and how they worked out and worked in together, and all the things they achieved there, then, and since.

Proud to be part of the black sheep herd. Thanks guys, love you.

I just love the way you write. Thank you for giving me something, made fresh daily, for me to read with my morning tea. There is nothing worse than stale blogs with morning tea.
