What a gorgeous photo of the flower – the petals look like fabric, so soft I just want to touch them!

When you get to London we will have to do a trip to Kew gardens – they now have this cool sounding Sky Walk which is a path they have built around the treetops so you get a birds eye view of things (you have to take a lift to get to it!) and it weaves it’s way around the trees, very cool.

Aww I love you too Mama and miss you more than words can say! I am proud to be your daughter and I wouldn’t be even half the person I am today without your love and support throughout my life! You are an amazing woman and I know that I do many of the things I do because you have shown me that it is possible and it is OK to take a chance and that while there may be hard times there are also so many good times which outweigh the bad.

In Croatia they still pull out the turkish coffee regularly but substitute it when feeling lazy with “Nescafe” – they are obsessed with this brand over there it is so funny!

Thanks, River, there is something attractive about water in action. When I was a kid I used to splash around in pond left after a late spring downpour. The frogs and I worked out a deal and we shared the pond for a few days before the water drained away. I can recall the slimy muddy smells and delicious squelchiness between my toes. The sun was hot and it was wonderful.

There is nothing like the shocking coolness of a fountain. A startlingly white foot slides in just about every one I meet…propriety be damned (weather permitting). In Chicago there is a fountain in Millennium park that encourages splashing and celebrating in the cool water. On steaming hot summer days, children and adults with child like enthusiasm, splash and wade and play in the double fountain. Smiles are shared by strangers and people from all races, socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures come together with squeals of delight and laughter of children. I find it fascinating that water and the experience of celebrating humanity strips down the normal boundaries and unites.
